National ADA Symposium FAQ’s
Why are there both virtual and on-site ADA Symposiums?
The first Virtual Symposium, launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, was a resounding success. In response to the strong demand, the Great Plains ADA Center chose to continue offering a virtual option alongside the traditional in-person event.
The on-site National ADA Symposium remains the flagship gathering, offering unmatched opportunities for professional development, networking, and in-depth learning—experiences that are difficult to fully replicate online. However, not everyone can commit to a four-day in-person event due to time or budget constraints. The Virtual Symposium provides a high-quality, flexible alternative without sacrificing training value
Why is the conference called the National ADA Symposium?
The National ADA Symposium was the first ADA-focused conference designed for a nationwide audience. It continues to be the most comprehensive national event covering the ADA and related disability topics.
The name reflects the Symposium’s mission: to bring together people from across the country to learn not only from expert presenters, but also from one another—fostering collaboration, shared knowledge, and deeper understanding of disability rights and accessibility.
